History

Mill-Rite Woodworking Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1966 as Mill-Rite, Inc. Robert and Jennifer Clark purchased Mill-Rite in December 1986. The company name was changed in December 1989 to Mill-Rite Woodworking Company, Inc. to better reflect the type of products and services offered. Jennifer is active in the day to day operations since the beginning and is the majority shareholder of Mill-Rite, thereby qualifying the company as a woman-owned business.

Jennifer Clark
President
Is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Business Administration. With Jennifer’s keen business acumen and leadership, Mill-Rite has become a nationally recognized company through not only the high profile projects it has completed, but the numerous awards bestowed on both Jennifer and Mill-Rite.

Robert D. Clark
Vice President
Is a 1976 graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Construction Technology and a 1979 graduate of the University of Florida with a Master’s Degree in Building Construction. Robert worked with several major construction companies in the United States as a project manager and group vice president before joining his wife, Jennifer, six months after the acquisition of Mill-Rite. Robert’s commitment to satisfying the client’s needs sets Mill-Rite apart from the normal woodworking company. High quality and commitment to servicing after the sale has produced a long list of satisfied customers.

Bob Newell
General Manager
Majored in Business Administration at Bellevue College in Omaha, Nebraska. Bob began his millwork career in 1979, since that time he has worked in national sales, project management and production management. His dedication to our clients to provide the finest millwork on every project will keep Mill-Rite’s satisfied client list growing. Additionally, Bob is past President of the Florida Chapter of the Architectural Woodwork Institute.

Jerry Stevens
Controller
A graduate of Florida State University with a BS in accounting, Jerry is the most recent addition to Mill-Rite’s management team.  He has over 21 years of managerial accounting experience including governmental accounting with the State of Florida, controller for a large auto dealership in Florida and for the last nine years was accounting manager for the construction division of a national telecommunications company.  Jerry has a strong commitment to help Mill-Rite remain on top as one of the elite architectural woodworking companies in the southeast.

Harry Rodenhizer
Business Development Manager
Harry has a BS in Economics from Greensboro College and has been in the Millwork and construction industry since 1980. Harry’s commitment to customer service and follow up along with his task of continuing to spread the word of Mill-Rite being the best kept secret in Florida will keep Mill-Rite the leading premium architectural millwork company in the region.

Arturo "Art" Reyes
Architectural Designer & Draftsman
Has a Masters in Environmental Planning from the University of the Philippines and has been with Mill-Rite since 1992. Art handles the drafting department and works closely with designers in detailing their projects.

C. Phil Fowler
Senior Estimator
Brings 39 years of architectural woodworking experience to Mill-Rite. Sixteen of those years have been with Mill-Rite as an estimator and senior estimator. Phil’s expertise has won respect with architects, general contractors and owners on both conceptual and "hard dollar" estimates.

Mill-Rite’s craft department heads have a total of over a century of experience between the six departments. Finding quality people is Mill-Rite’s most challenging obstacle to overcome. A family atmosphere helps to keep the lines of communication open and problem solving efficient.

Facility

Located in Pinellas Park, Florida, Mill-Rite is conveniently located off of I-275 south near downtown St. Petersburg. Mill-Rite’s 54,000 square foot plant includes a 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art finishing room comprised of four air in-take banks and four air exhaust banks allowing for a continual flow of clean dry air to circulate aiding in the finishing process. New equipment is continually being added or existing equipment updated to improve efficiency and to stay on woodworking technology’s cutting edge.
